About the Artist
Clare Toms is a visual artist based between Melbourne and Mexico. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Art through the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University in Brisbane. Whilst frequently experimenting with photography and installation, she majored in Oil Painting which is her main area of practice. Clare shows internationally- Los Angeles and London. Conceptually her work explores themes of intangible and physical transience and our interconnectedness with the environment, through the creation of contemporary, secular memento-mori pieces. |
