Auguste Clown Gallery is proud to be Australia's only official stockist of Blythe Dolls. Blythe is a much loved collectible and fashion icon that continues to inspire artists, designers and photographers worldwide.

The original Blythe doll was created in the early 1970s by designer Allison Katzman and produced in the United States by Kenner toy company. The doll was marketed as a toy for children in the US, Australia and Japan but retired just one year after its first release.

Thirty years on, Blythe made a dramatic comeback thanks to the keen eye of Junko Wong from CWC Agency. Junko saw potential in Japan where she re-introduced Blythe as the face of advertising and fashion campaigns. Under the creative direction of Junko, a new release of Blythe went into production in 1999, sporting new looks together with that same big-eyed beauty people had come to know and love.

Neo Blythe is the largest of the Blythe fashion dolls, standing at 28.5cm tall. Each doll is fashioned with its own personality, and like the original vintage dolls, the string at the back of Blythe's head allows her eye colours and eye direction to change, bringing her character to life.
